Orange County Great Park occupies 500 acres of land in central Irvine and serves as both a regional recreation destination and a community gathering space. The park includes comprehensive sports facilities such as championship soccer fields, baseball and softball diamonds, tennis courts, basketball courts and sand volleyball courts. It also operates the Great Park Ice rink and the Great Park Carousel, and features the distinctive Great Park Balloon, which lifts visitors 500 feet into the air for views over Orange County.

The park hosts the county's farmers market, cultural events like the annual Mid-Autumn Festival, and serves as home to the Orange County Soccer Club. Families use the facilities year-round for youth sports leagues, lessons, casual recreation, and special events. The combination of competitive sports, casual recreation and large community gatherings makes the park a defining feature of life in Irvine.

Parks are where families spend time together, where memories form, and where time is valued differently than anywhere else. A parent coaching youth soccer, a family on the Great Park lawn for a summer concert, a grandparent watching a grandchild's first soccer game—these are the moments people want to ensure continue if something happened to the income that makes family life possible. That is the thinking behind term insurance: protecting the family's ability to be a family.
