University of California, Irvine
UC Irvine, founded in 1965, operates 15 schools offering academic programs and is ranked among the nation's top 10 public universities.

The University of California, Irvine was established in 1965 to expand access to California's public research university system. The campus is located in the city of Irvine and includes the Samueli School of Engineering, the School of Social Ecology, the School of Medicine, and twelve other schools offering undergraduate and graduate programs. UCI also operates UCI Health, an integrated academic health system that combines the university with the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences.
As one of the UC system's major research institutions, the university generates approximately eight billion dollars in annual economic impact across California through research, education, and innovation. The campus attracts researchers and students internationally and is consistently ranked among the top public universities in the United States. Many Irvine residents have professional or family connections to UCI, which influences the city's character as an education-focused community.
Families in college towns often think differently about the future than those elsewhere, because education and advancement are visible everywhere. That forward-planning mindset extends to insurance: recognizing that four years of college costs represent a specific need that should be covered if the income paying for it goes away. Term coverage chosen during a child's early years covers exactly those peak financial years, which is why many UCI families structure their insurance this way.
